Pancake Comparison

In case you haven't read our "about me", we are pancake aficionados, searching Australia for the perfect pancake. Well, sort of. As we are in law school, we've only been able to search twice this semester, but we think we MIGHT already have a winner.

The pancake brunch that started it all was at Bluff Cafe in Burleigh. Post-surf pancakes, to be exact.

These were amazing. Fluffy, light, and delicious, with a side of (heavenly) vanilla ice cream. If only we could find pure Canadian maple syrup to complete the experience.

However, these pancakes take the cake. They are from the Balcony restaurant in Byron Bay. They were fluffier, bigger, and, well, who can say no to a dollop of Double Devon cream. The blackberry and passionfruit compote was also a nice touch.

SO good....definitely worth the hour and half drive.

Next semester: pancake feast, round three.

If you come down to Sydney, you should definitely stop by at "Pancakes on the Rocks". The pancakes there are delicious.
